Small shops with extravagant items are my thing!

(representative of Messe Düsseldorf in Australia), tells us her insider tip. But also those who want to go on a fashion hunt will get their money’s worth in Sydney.

What does a perfect shopping day for you looks like in your city?

Since I still furnish my house, furniture shops are at the top of my shopping list. In Sydney there are many small suburbs with very individual shops where you can always find what you are looking for. Large shopping centres with luxury brands are rather located in the city centre and are strongly aimed at Chinese buyers. I prefer small shops with extravagant items. The whole thing then crowned by a good coffee in one of the many coffee shops.

What´s your favorite shop in the city at the moment and why?

What do you prefer to buy online and what to buy in a brick and mortar store?

I buy relatively little online because I lack the shopping experience. I want to see and touch the goods before I buy. This is not possible with online trading. I only order practical things online, where I know exactly what I want. Or if the transport is too complicated for me.
