„EXHIBITOR hat zwar den Wettbewerb EuroShop Awards seit 2011 ausgerichtet, aber es ist das erste Mal, dass wir mit der EuroShop selbst eine Partnerschaft eingegangen sind, um daraus einen offiziellen, messeweiten Wettbewerb zu machen,“ sagte Travis Stanton, Redakteur der Zeitschrift EXHIBITOR.  “While EXHIBITOR has been hosting a EuroShop Awards competition since 2011, this is the first time we’ve partnered with EuroShop itself to make it an official, show-wide contest,” said Travis Stanton, editor of EXHIBITOR magazine.

“EXHIBITOR is a very good choice for us, because it is known worldwide and recognized as a leading industry magazine, said Elke Moebius, global head retail and retail technology and director at EuroShop, Messe Düsseldorf. “Since the magazine already presented the award during EuroShop 2017 in the dimension Expo + Event, it was obvious to roll out the competition for the entire EuroShop. A stand design competition is added value to the show, especially to the ones who win the award. For us it is a matter of respect to reward the great effort that the exhibitors put in to be noticed. We appreciate the investment in extraordinary stand constructions. There are many visitors, who come to see us especially because of this. Extraordinary stand construction is an important source of inspiration for them.”

All EuroShop exhibitors will be automatically entered in the competition free of charge. During the show, EXHIBITOR will select up to 10 finalists in each of the five size-based categories, and an international panel of design experts will score finalists to identify one winner and two honorable mentions in each category.

Finalists will be notified on the show floor and presented with plaques. They also will be automatically eligible for the People’s Choice Award. Between Monday, Feb. 17, and Wednesday, Feb. 19, visitors to www.ExhibitorOnline.com/VoteEuroShop will vote for their favorite designs. The project with the most votes will be named the People’s Choice Award winner, and the stand with the second-highest point total will receive an honorable mention.

All winners and honorable-mention recipients will be announced and awarded with trophies during a ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 4 p.m. on the Expo + Event Stage in Hall 4 at the show. Following the ceremony, all finalists are invited to enjoy beverages at the IFES Global Village.

“Every three years, EuroShop seems to raise the bar and serve as a launch pad for new experiential-design trends, and we cannot wait to see what the exhibitors there have in store for attendees,” Stanton said.

EuroShop, IFES, and EXHIBITOR will promote the finalists, honorable mentions, and winners via various channels, including press releases, ExhibitorOnline.com, IFES World View, IFESnet.com, social media, EXHIBITOR magazine, and more.

“This awards program is the icing on the cake in our industry and something that should not be missed by all those that wish to truly see what booth design and creativity is all about,” said Peter Theodorides, president and CEO of Vision Ltd. and current IFES president.
