This year, QUAD GmbH will be presenting more innovations than ever before at Stand B40 in Hall 9 and will be meeting the Future Requirements of Retail with new trend products.

The focus: the topics of Self-Service, Mobile Capture Devices, Kiosk Solutions, Cash Management, Awarding and Warehouse Digitization – in short, Optimization of Checkout and Warehouse Processes.
A first highlight is the premiere of the TOSHIBA Pro-X Hybrid Kiosk, which, in combination with a card terminal and the full-fledged Cashlogy Safe cash dispenser, provides both an operable cash register and a customer checkout terminal – in one place for all transactions. Utilization of the full potential in the smallest possible space and thus the highest possible flexibility – around the clock.
New Posiflex Kiosk Solutions based on Windows and Android create space to address customers in detail while simplifying processes in linking online and offline channels.
Advances in the printer sector are offered by Epson products, whose new generation of Lineless Printers reliably cut labels that adhere well, allowing individual labeling even at the counter area. Color Label Printers draw attention to promotions and product information, prominently displaying important information even in low-cost shelf or product labeling.
There are also practical trends in the Auto-ID sector (generic term for automated recording of information): Back-of-hand Scanners, enhanced into Industrial Smartwatches and, at the manufacturer Nimmsta, are revolutionizing the process of recording codes in the warehouse, using an interactive touch field. This significantly increases employee-friendly parcel turnover, which is one of the biggest challenges of retail in the wake of increased online sales.
With the Mobility-Edge technology, Honeywell creates a future-proof platform for the Mobile Data Collection (MDC) devices, that enables the use of current and future Android versions. Mobility-Edge is worth the investment, especially for the trend towards using robust MDE devices as Mobile Devices with Cash Register Functions – because in the context of fiscalization in Germany, operating systems must be actively provided with updates, which no longer applies in the case of discontinued Android versions.
The 2D Scanners at the checkout will no longer be used only for product detection but will be essential for interaction with the smartphone in the future. With the new 7680 Genesis, Honeywell shows what is now technically feasible and supports communication with the customer with optical signals.
The particularly small-format products from our OEM division are specified high-performance Scanners and RFID modules that can be used in virtually any installation location – in Kiosk Systems, Checkout Counters, Access Controls and much more.

Also new: The use of industrial smart glasses – i.e., glasses with integrated camera and screen – not only revolutionize the deployment of technicians and service personnel, but also open a new dimension of “personal online shopping”. Shopping from the consultant’s point of view creates a personal closeness that was previously unrealizable in online sales.
POS Systems are traditionally on focus with Products from our manufacturers TOSHIBA and Posiflex, which will be supplemented this year by budget-friendly entry-level products for small retailers. Epson is also offering attractive solutions for the use of Tablet Cash Registers with the various TM-m30 product versions.
Even the Reorganization of the Checkout Zone is supported with new products. QUAD GmbH offers with the manufacturer Discover new possibilities for the customer- and employee call and thus an improvement of the customer journey processes in stores.
This area also includes non-IT products such as the Mounting Systems by Ergonomic Solutions: QUAD celebrates the premiere of the ingenious VESA-ARC system, which not only greatly simplifies the mounting of VESA products, but also makes it more variable – as well as the smart tablet mounts “U-Frames”.
