3 Questions to … Bettina Zimmermann, Ganter Interior GmbH
23. March 2018 | 3 Questions to…, Shop Fitting, Store Design & Visual Merchandising

Today, the planning of stores can rely on completely new methods and technologies.

Bettina Zimmermann, Managing Director of Ganter Interior GmbH, explains how 3D printers can support shop fitting.

Mrs. Zimmermann, shop design and shop fitting is more and more about individual presentations. How can you keep projects at low cost that are exclusively designed?

By working together with the designer, architect and customer from the very beginning and knowing the customer’s focal points, as well as discussing material and design options together to find more cost-effective solutions. Due to our very broad range of services and portfolio, we have a large repertoire of possibilities. This often leads to a faster result. And time is money.

You also use 3D printers for prototyping in the design of your shop fitting. In which areas and for what?

In lighting design, we use it for example for individual display case lighting or to test junction points and connections. We also use rapid prototyping to quickly produce patterns with more complex geometries.

Ganter Interior was an exhibitor at EuroShop 2017, what impressed you there?

I was impressed by the fantastic stands in all variations – from the size to the statements – and the great conversations with our customers and people from the industry.
